  • I just can't see how Gold tops could improve treatment of any mental illness. If your view of reality is already distorted then how would confusing it further help? Paranoia would be heightened and split personalities would have a field day (nightmare).

    • Complex post traumatic stress disorder distorts my reality more than any drug. Micro-dosing is the future . gold tops from the random public ground is like comparing eating random mould from bread and hoping it’s the correct antibiotic for peritonitis. Would be controlled growing in a surgically clean lab.

    • @Mububban23 the other option is also to research yourself of the wildly available data and studies... :-). Usually "after" the blue meanies or golden tops have worn off... haahha

    • Luckily for society you are not conducting the research. Leave it up to the qualified to make those determinations.

    • That is the concern of a layperson. Let’s trust that medical researchers know what they’re doing more than the general population does on this very specific topic.

    • Well, it is more along the lines of addressing this with controlled doses and not what's generally consumed. Good work is being done over at MAPS (maps.org)

    • At no point was that claim made. It was simply discussed as one possible treatment. Not the only one. Listen to what's being said.

    • Can everyone with PTSD be treated without the use of drugs though?

  • People who don't have P.T.S.D. aren't 'better people' than people who have P.T.S.D. Sigmatising much???

  • By focusing psychedelic research around the current biomedical 'mental illness' paradigm, we risk limiting the potential they have, & playing directly into the hands of the pharmaceutical industry. They'll just become the new antidepressants which, while an improvement, fails to realise their true potential for good.
